Elas se fixam no tronco ou em galhos grossos. N\u00f3s tamb\u00e9m temos algumas. A orqu\u00eddea \u00e9 primeiramente amarrada ao tronco com um barbante. Esse tipo de orqu\u00eddea tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 chamado de orqu\u00eddea ep\u00edfita e s\u00e3o tipos de orqu\u00eddeas que s\u00e3o adaptadas para viver em outras plantas ou \u00e1rvores e n\u00e3o crescem no solo. As orqu\u00eddeas podem se prender \u00e0s \u00e1rvores por meio de suas ra\u00edzes, que se agarram ao tronco ou aos galhos.
